The African Union AU is the Africa's continental alliance instated September 9 1999 with full effects in 2002 in replacement of Organization Of African Unity OAU formally declared in May 25, 1963. The association of 55 country members founded to solidarize the AU countries for common continental interests, integrations, economic developments, safety focuses on a stronger Africa and the protection of the rights of African citizens.
