Lekki Deep Sea Port

 


The Lekki Port is a marine infrastrucure designed to facilitate maritime excise duties, cargo freights, commercials services of vessels, container loads and offloads. Lekki seaport is schemed to expand the importation and exportion industry, chandling marine and commerce activities for the  African economy.

Located in lekki Lagos State, the Lekki Free Zone seaport is reported the largest in Nigeria also, as one of the biggest in Africa with estimated 6 millions container capacity and 2.5 million TEUs annually. The Investor's investment towards the seaport is projected an estimation $1.5 billion sitting on the 90 hectares of land to be operational at the port's phase 1 terminal since 2018 before it official opening in 2022. 







At the inauguration, commissioned for commercial duties by the then President Mohammed Buhari in April, 2023 when the port docked the first freigher CMG, CMA MOZART, later confided to the governor of Lagos State Governor Sonwo-Olu, ascertained to maintain the infrastructure as he promised to expantiate a broader 6 way drive into the cargo and freighter seaport.
